About Mindi

"I never wanted to be anything other than an artist... Well, except maybe a mermaid.”

~ Mindi Yarbrough

Hi, I’m Mindi also known as WildHeart Arts. I am a graphic designer and artist focusing on fine art, crafts, illustration, coloring books, and murals.

I am an advocate for the healing, therapeutic, and transformative powers of art and art making! My mission in life is to create, share, and impact my community through art.

As a working independent artist I have facilitated and participated in over 50 art exhibitions across the country including Moundsville and Wheeling, West Virginia; Columbus, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; and San Francisco, California. I am also a full-time Art Director and Graphic Designer. I have over 20 years of design experience and am a lifelong artist. Creativity is more than a career, it’s my way of life.

I draw inspiration from dreams, fantasy, archetypes, myth, nature, and pop culture. I love to be expressive, whimsical, and weird with my artwork and love having fun, exploring, and experimenting with my process.

My 1st Coloring Book "Witchy West Virginia" was featured in the local subscription box called "Lunar Infusions Tea Ceremony" a curated tea, crystal, candle, and all around magical box by Cindy Bonfini-Hotlosz at The Empress in North Wheeling.

Two of my coloring pages were featured in the "Place I Belong" coloring page contest hosted by West Virginia Tourism.

I have created 3 special commemorative coloring pages featured in celebrations including the Wheeling Suspension Bridge 170th Birthday, the 150th Anniversary of the Great Stone Viaduct in Bellaire, Ohio, and one depicting the Sistersville Ferry that has been in service for over 200 years! Download your free Suspension Bridge coloring page here: Suspension Bridge Coloring Page

I created several pieces of art and coloring pages for the "Poorly Drawn Pets" BCARL fundraiser.
